Back to school soon! Dave has registered for his fall classes. He is taking 3 classes and then he is hopefully done getting an AS in Computer Science!
The other school news is I'm going back to school too! I'll be taking a physical geography class and a composition class to boost my qualifications as a teacher.
After moving, Dave's slack line went missing. He searched high and low and in every place imaginable and still could not find it. He was sad. Then, he dug through a box of his clothes and found it! So, now he is happy. We are looking forward to using it in near-by parks. (A slack line is like a tight rope, but it bows with you as you walk on it.) We have also been trying to work out more often and get back into shape.
This Saturday, our church is having an AIDS Caregiver Kit Build to send kits to AIDS caregivers in Africa (specifically Uganda, I believe) through World Vision. Our pastor gave us a challenge as his sermon was "pray for one another." The challenge was to have an "adjusted meal plan" this week eating only rice, beans, veggies, and fruit - what most of the world lives on. When we eat or think about food, we are then reminded to pray for the upcoming event and for people in our lives as well. Dave and I took up the challenge, and we have had fun coming up with interesting ways to prepare rice, beans, veggies, and fruit. (It's only Monday, so the enthusiasm might wear off towards the end of the week) So, if you're reading this, please pray for our event as well. Pray we can raise the money and build the kits we set out to make. Pray for the caregivers that will receive and use the kits as they work with people dying of AIDS. Pray for the caregivers that their hope and joy would be renewed and that their spirits would be filled. Thanks!
Well, it's bed time in the Hubbell house! Hopefully we'll post soon!
