Life in General

Hello,
Megan here. So, after hiking on Saturday, I went and lifeguarded for Girl Scout troop up in the El Dorado foothills. The troop was from Mountain View and were camping along the South Fork of the American River. The girls and parent helpers were all friendly and welcoming - and they fed me! Woohoo!!

So, this week, I have re-entered the Twilight saga. I have read all 4 books before, and I decided I should 1) own them, and 2) re-read them. Since I am regularly lost in these books, Dave has taken to conquering many worlds in the game "Metroid Prime 3" - borrowed from a friend of ours. From my occasional observations, he seems to be winning :)

As many of you know, our "plan" when we moved in to our apartment was to live here for at least 2 years. The reason was we had both been moving at least once a year for several years through college, and we wanted to stay in one place long enough to feel "settled" and "home." So, with our 2-year anniversary coming up, we are getting antsy for a yard, garage, and many other things that come with a house. We have been looking at rental homes and have found a few promising ones in the area. We sit eagerly waiting for a response from a guy right now about a house a few minutes away from where we live. So, if you could please pray for us and rental houses, that would be wonderful

Tomorrow, our friends are moving in to their newly purchased house, and I will be helping them moved. Unfortunately, Dave has to work tomorrow, so he will be unable to help with the moving (unless we're not done by the time he gets off work). Oh well, more pizza and soda for me, then!

I realized this post doesn't have much in the way of updates, but our weeks are usually pretty simple...we go a little crazy on weekends, so there might be a post coming soon about crazy adventures!
