Megan here, and I noticed it has been a couple of months since we've updated our blog!
Sydney passed doggie class with flying colors! She earned a diploma and a new toy! Since then, she has enjoyed going on walks, runs and on car rides with us whenever possible! She is getting better at playing with other dogs, but still prefers people over dogs.
These last couple months have been exciting for us. We found out in October that we are pregnant! I am now starting my 9th week of pregnancy, and my first appointments are in December. I have been nauseous and not wanting to eat, but we discovered my appetite comes back when I am around my family. The baby is due July 9, and we are really excited to grow our little family!
With that, we will try to update this blog more regularly throughout the pregnancy and include photos and everything else.
We are continuously thankful to our Father in Heaven who continues to bless us in ways we could never imagine. :)

Doggie School
We have an A+ dog!
Tonight we took Sydney to doggie training class. There were about six other dogs there and Sydney was definitely the pick of the litter. She listens when her name is called, sits when told, will touch your hand on command, and knows how to wait until being released.
There was one poor little puppy that was terrified of being in the class. It was an eight-month-old bull mastiff. It spent most of the class with it's tail tucked between it's legs and dragging it's bottom as it's masters tried to move it around the room.
One of the instructors said we were very lucky to have found Sydney. We agree!

We have a new mouth to feed!
Yes it's true! We are now proud dog owners! Sydney is German Shepherd, mixed with what appears to be Rottweiler. She's two years old and has the fortunate combination of lots of energy and good manners. Megan and I couldn't have asked for a better dog! She listens to our commands, is friendly towards people we introduce to her and towards other animals, she doesn't chew or have accidents in the house. This is hard to beat!

Life between November and May
Well, sorry we haven't posted in a long time! We have been busy!
December: We celebrated Christmas with Megan's family at her parents' house this year. It was a blast having everyone there - including 2 very pregnant sisters-in-law! We repeated our "Craigslist Christmas" gift policy this year where all gifts are to be used or home made. Megan co-directed her school's annual Christmas program and it was very fun and successful! Dave went snowboarding with Megan's brothers at night - they had a great time!
January: We went night snowboarding at Squaw Valley and had a great time! Not much else has happened - still recovering from Christmas and getting back to work and, for Dave, school.
February: Babies! Both sisters-in-law gave birth in February: Kai and Henry are our new nephews, and they are really cute! Megan and her co-teacher took their junior highers on an over-night field trip to visit some museums, a college (complete with basketball game), and the beach! It was lot of fun.
Sadly, David's grandpa was diagnosed with Leukemia in February. Dave was able to visit and help alleviate some of the sadness.
March: Now we get a little more busy. Dave had an interview for a programming job - and got the job! We went snowboarding with Megan's parents at Sugar Bowl (during the day this time). Megan had a very fun birthday party at a local park with family and friends.
David's grandpa passed away in March. We celebrated his life with family through having a BBQ and a great memorial service. We miss him a lot, but also rest on the assurance he is with the Lord.
April: Dave starts his new job! Woohoo! He is really enjoying programming at a small company in Auburn, which is a little over 20 minutes East of here. Megan is still working at the school and the YMCA teaching and having fun. We attended Megan's friend Kaci's wedding in the Sonoma area. It was a lot of fun visiting with friends, eating delicious food, and seeing the newlyweds!
Our garden continues to flourish, and we plan to plant new flowers and vegetables soon.
We are looking forward to attending two weddings in June for some friends.
This summer, we want to go camping a lot and have already booked a site for a short trip. We are hoping to go camping with Megan's family, Dave's brother, and friends. We'll be sure to post pictures from all our crazy adventures!
That's a quick recap of the last few months. We will work harder to keep updating more often and with pictures!
P.S. Dave ran 100 miles since January 1!
