Exciting News!

Big news: I (Megan) had an interview last week for a part-time middle school teaching position. I got a call a couple days later from the principle, and I got the job! Yay!!

The school is Antelope Christian Academy, and I am teaching 7th and 8th grade in the mornings. Their middle school class is 5-8 grade, and it grew, so the teacher needed help balancing what's being taught.

I started today and observed the teacher and what she does with them. Also, I got to meet the students and see their curriculum. I have a lot of work tonight as I start teaching tomorrow!

Labor Day Fun

What did we do over labor day? Well, I'm glad you asked.
The main goal of the weekend was to get our house in order. On Saturday, we worked in the yard and the garage, getting stuff cleaned up. Sunday we spent doing dishes and organizing our bedroom. Monday we organized Dave's office and got it all cleaned up. We also cleaned the house (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, etc.).
Not only did we get our house in shape, we had a lot of fun! We went to our friends' house on Saturday night and played a new expansion of Settlers of Catan. I almost won!! On Sunday, we taught first grade Sunday school - they were fun and crazy! On Monday, we had Sabrah and Colin over (Nikki didn't feel well), and we BBQed fish and played Wii and Settlers (of course Sabrah won).
Anyway, now our goal is to keep the house organized and clean - and have fun with friends, of course. :)
